Giving information, Civil Surgeon Patiala Dr. Shaili Jaitley said that a large number of local residents participated in this camp and People availed of complete eye check-ups conducted by expert doctors. During the camp, vision check-ups , screening for common diseases like cataract , glaucoma and refractive errors were done and advice was given on eye care.
Senior Medical Officer Dr. Gurpreet Nagra said that the eyes of the patients were examined and free medicines and glasses were distributed to the needy . He informed about this that under the special camps being set up today, village Nawan Fatehpur Around 37 needy patients were distributed spectacles and 3 patients were referred to Mata Kushallya Hospital . On this occasion, he informed that these special camps will continue in the coming days as well , under which a free special eye examination camp will be organized in village Dayagarh on August 17 . In which maximum people should participate and take advantage of these camps . Special support was provided by local leaders for the camp . During this camp, health cards were also made for the patients under the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme. On this occasion, eye specialists Dr. Priya Mittal , Dr. Jasmine, Loveleen Sharma and all the health workers including the Ophthalmic Officer were present .
