Max Medical Scholarship

Woxsen University hosted the inaugural edition of the CXO Vantage: Global Leadership Conclave 2025. ECE Engineering School in France has introduced Milo, the first autonomous AI, fully integrated into student life in a French engineering school. Milo was designed by ECE students and participates in classes, asks questions, shares ideas, and supports peers in subjects such as Maths and Computer Science.

A multi-institutional team of researchers from NIT Rourkela; Government College of Engineering, Keonjhar; and University of South-Eastern Norway, Norway, has developed an algorithm to strengthen cyber resilience for stability of microgrids, localised power systems. A paper was published in IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics.

IIM Raipur concluded its Leadership Summit 2025 on the theme CXO Compass: Navigating beyond Boundaries to Build Future Ready Organisations. Sandeep Singh, MD, Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery, was the chief guest.

Stella Maris College concluded its National Space Day 2025 celebrations with a 3D Poster Presentation Competition on Role of AI in Space Science, as part of Scisynergy 2025 – the intercollegiate science fest. It also held a series of competitions on the theme Aryabhatta to Gaganyaan: Ancient Wisdom to Infinite Possibilities.

Shiv Nadar School held Kaafila, its student-led arts festival on the theme Between Screens and Souls. Over 30 schools from across India participated.

Students at NIT Rourkela have received 1,274 placement offers and 509 six-month internships in the 2024-25 placement drive. Recruiters included Google, Qualcomm, Wells Fargo, JSW, Amazon, ExxonMobil, DE Shaw and Co, Barclays, Deloitte, among others.

Smiling Tree partnered with Maitreyi College, University of Delhi, in its installation ceremony. Participants reflected on how simple acts like planting trees or nurturing indoor plants can lead to a sustainable future.

IIHMR University held the third edition of TEDxIIHMRU on the theme Small Sparks Big Shifts. Speakers included Anand Bang, physician and public health leader; Amit Mookim, CEO of Immuneel Therapeutics; and Richa Bajpai, founder and CEO of Campus Fund, among others.

OPPO India has partnered with the Department of Basic Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh and UMMEED NGO to set up smart classrooms in 44 government primary schools across the state. It will provide around 5,000 students with access to learning environments that are technology-enabled. Over 80 teachers will also be trained to effectively integrate technology into their teaching practices. It will be implemented in schools across Lucknow, Ayodhya, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, and Agra.

Awards and laurels

Vijay Mohan and Deeksha S, students from Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir, were the winners of TCS InQuizitive, the annual quiz organised by Tata Consultancy Services.

The Indian Debating League (IDL) hosted the Harvard College Debating Union — Indian Team Qualifiers 2025, which saw Zaara Chinoy, Adyant Gupta, Arnav Singh, and Aashi Bubna from The Cathedral and John Connon School win the Open Category and qualify for the finals at the Harvard WSDC Tournament 2026 in Massachusetts, the U.S.

Team Lazy Genius from Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Professional Studies (ADGIPS) New Delhi, came first in Zero-to-One, a nationwide 24-hour MVP Building Hackathon organised by Chandigarh University’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell, in collaboration with its Technology Business Incubator.

Team Surya from the CSE Department of Sharda University secured second place at the All India ISRO Robotics Challenge held in Delhi.

Shalom Hills International School and Heritage Xperiential Learning School from Gurugram emerged first in the primary and secondary categories respectively of the Kid Witness News programme in India organised by Panasonic Life Solutions India.

Professor Srivardhini K. Jha, faculty of the Entrepreneurship area and Chairperson of NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore, was selected for the National Awards to Teachers 2025, instituted by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Orientations and convocations

Vedam School of Technology, in partnership with Ajeenkya DY Patil University, held an orientation week for the institute’s founding batch of 2025–29. Mayur Datar, VP-Applied Sciences, Microsoft; Ankit Aggarwal, Founder and CEO, Unstop; Anurag Gaggar, SVP-Product, MakeMyTrip and others spoke at the event.

Medhavi Skills University (MSU), Sikkim, hosted its orientation ceremony Prarambh for the incoming batch of 2025. Raj Shekhar Joshi, Vice-Chairman of SETU Ayog, Uttarakhand; Rakesh Prasad, AVP-HR, Indigo Airlines; and Debmalya Banerjee, Regional Director, Indian Chamber of Commerce, participated.

MoUs and partnerships

Mahatma Gandhi Mission University, Maharashtra, signed an MoU with Koppal University, Karnataka, to promote innovation, research and collaboration in higher education.

The Department of Management at Aarupadai Veedu Institute of Technology (AVIT) signed an MoU with Magic Bus India Foundation to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world employability skills.

O.P. Jindal Global University signed 15 MoUs and agreements with global universities and institutions for dual-degree programmes, student-exchange, and faculty and research collaborations.

Gujarat International Finance Tec-City Company Ltd. signed an MoU with QS Quacquarelli Symonds to collaborate on education, innovation, and global engagement.

Somaiya Vidyavihar University signed an MoU with Frontier Laboratories Ltd, Japan, and inaugurated the Centre of Excellence in Analytical Pyrolysis (CoE-AnPy) to develop polymer science research, interdisciplinary learning, and industry engagement in India.

IIM Mumbai signed an MoU with Zell Education to launch a Post Graduate Diploma in International Accounting and Finance, integrated with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) the U.K., which will begin in January 2026.

Manav Rachna Educational Institutions has collaborated with Arduino’s Global Team to launch the Arduino Innovation and Learning Hub (AILH) at its Faridabad campus. This will enable hands-on learning and prototyping across domains like AI, IoT, robotics, healthcare, and deep-tech engineering.

IIM Nagpur signed an MoU with Raisoni Education Group to recognise academic excellence by awarding the G.H. Raisoni Merit Award and the G.H. Raisoni Gold Medal to students of the institute.
