Chandigarh, November 1, 2021: Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi today announces major reduction in power rates. He announced that power tariff will be cheaper by Rs. 3 per unit for all slabs. He said that for first 100 units consumers will now pay Rs. 1.19 per unit instead of Rs. 4.19 and similarly for other slabs rates will be cut by Rs. 3 per unit. He said that more than Rs. 3300 crore per annum will be borne by state for this reduction.
