Waris Punjab De Leader and Four Others End Hunger Strike in Dibrugarh Central Jail after Akal Takht Delegation’s Intervention

Waris Punjab De head, Amritpal Singh, along with four other Sikhs, who were detained in Dibrugarh Central Jail and were on a hunger strike, have ended their strike today. The hunger strike was brought to a halt after a delegation from the Akal Takht managed to pacify them.

The group decided to end their hunger strike after receiving assurances from the Akal Takht delegation. They symbolically concluded their protest by consuming Prasad from Sri Harmandar Sahib and water from the holy Sarovar.

Amritpal Singh and his companions were detained in Dibrugarh Central Jail while on a protest mission. Their hunger strike drew attention to their cause, and the intervention by the Akal Takht delegation brought about a resolution to the standoff.
