Court Orders Physical Appearance on August 23
MANSA: In a significant development, the proceedings for the Famous Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala murder case took place at the Mansa court on Wednesday. 24 out of the 25 accused were virtually present in the court through video conferencing for the hearing. The notable absence was that of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who couldn’t attend due to ill health.
The Court’s decision follows the previous hearing’s directive, which ordered the physical presence of the named accused in the case. However, due to the ongoing Punjab Bandh, the accused were presented before the court through video conferencing. The court has now directed that all the accused must appear in person on August 23. The case has garnered widespread attention, and the legal proceedings are being closely watched by the public and the media alike.
Balkaur Singh, the father of Sidhu Moose Wala, was also in attendance at the Mansa court. He arrived with SSP Dr. Nanak Singh but returned without appearing before the court. During his interaction with journalists, Balkaur Singh expressed confidence in the court’s proceedings and the pursuit of justice.
Accompanied by his lawyer, Pinderpal Singh Mittal, Balkaur Singh shared that while the court had initially ordered physical appearances, the recent Punjab bandh prompted the shift to video conferencing. Despite this, he remains optimistic about the court’s ability to deliver justice.
Balkaur Singh further revealed that certain names have emerged in connection with the case, and he anticipates their inclusion in the ongoing investigation. He also expressed hope that Goldy Brar, another individual linked to the case, will be brought to India soon for prosecution. His ultimate aim is to ensure that his son receives the justice he deserves. He emphasized his unwavering commitment to seeking justice for his son and declared that they are prepared to persist in their fight until justice is served, leaving no stone unturned.
