IIM Nagpur conducted an international conference on Cybersecurity Resilience: Safeguarding Businesses and Governments from Cyberthreats and Disruptions. Lt. Gen (Retd.) Rajesh Pant, Former National Cybersecurity Coordinator, PMO, Government of India, delivered the keynote address. Surveys

Mpower hosted the Mpowering Minds Summit 2025, which saw experts from Harvard Medical School, World Economic Forum, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Australia and psychiatrists, psychologists, educators, policymakers, participate. A report on the mental health and well-being of the youth across India was also released at the event.

A study by Zell Education showed that 50%-70% of fintech startups hiring finance or accounting graduates were looking for candidates with additional competencies such as data analysis, programming, and blockchain knowledge.

Awards and rankings

Prajwala Yadlapalli, Naidu Yaswanth Reddy, and Parise Sri Vatsal Team CodeBlue) from Amrita School of Computing, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amaravati, won the first prize at DecodeX 2025 a national-level hackathon held at N. L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research, Mumbai.

The New College, Chennai, won the overall trophy in IRTIFAA 2K25 hosted by MEASI Institute of Information Technology. The event saw participation from 545 students from colleges across Chennai, Ambur, Vaniyambadi, and Tiruchi.

Gaurav Kumar, Abhishek Sarkar, and Himanshu Singh, students from Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Nagpur, came first in KIRIT 5.0, the case analysis competition hosted by Kirloskar Institute of Management. Suryansh Srivastava, Somil Puri, and Yahoo Singh from NIT-Raipur were declared runners-up.

Srivatsav, Srinivas and Sriram, students from Coimbatore’s Indian Public School, were the winners of the Monash University Change It Challenge final in Melbourne. Anna, Michelle and Neyja from Taman Rama Intercultural School, Bali, Indonesia, came second, while Aditya from International School, Dhaka, Bangladesh, came third.

Piyus Kedia and Amartya Saha, students, IIM Calcutta, won the NTPC Electron Quiz 2025 grand finale at NTPC Power Management Institute, Noida. Ankita Shandilya and Shashank Tyagi from FMS, Delhi, were the first runners-up.

ARPR Events hosted the second edition of the Sci-Edu Awards 2025 with 54 educators being recognised for their contribution in fostering a scientific temperament among students. Dr. P. Sasikumar, scientist from Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, ISRO, Thiruvananthapuram, was the chief guest.

Shiv Nadar University-Delhi NCR and Springer Nature signed a Fully Open Access MoU at the India Sustainability Conclave 2025 to provide wider access to the university’s multidisciplinary research.

BIT Mesra signed an MoU with L&T Edutech to bridge the skill gap between industry and academia. L&T Edutech has launched its Educate India (Learn Connect) initiative to provide students with access to a library of industry-relevant courses.

Get Set Learn has partnered with the National Skill Development Corporation to launch the Skills for New Bharat initiative to empower one million school students with an entrepreneurial mindset and prepare them for an AI-driven world.

The All India Management Association (AIMA), which holds the Management Aptitude Test (MAT), has tied up with B-Schools across the country to accept MAT scores for admission.

ODM Educational Group signed an MoU with Cyber Square to implement a coding and AI curriculum across its schools, from class one onwards. The programme will be delivered through an interactive platform that integrates coding and AI principles into the existing curriculum.

IIT Guwahati signed an MoU with Danfoss Industries to drive research and development in areas such as water desalination technologies, advanced power electronics and drives, high-pressure pump systems. A Center of Excellence (CoE) – Danfoss Solutions will be established to streamline all collaborative projects under a unified research umbrella. A joint educational programme will be established between IIT Guwahati and the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), in collaboration with Danfoss.
