Mpower hosted the Mpowering Minds Summit 2025, which saw experts from Harvard Medical School, World Economic Forum, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Australia and psychiatrists, psychologists, educators, policymakers, participate. A report on the mental health and well-being of the youth across India was also released at the event.
A study by Zell Education showed that 50%-70% of fintech startups hiring finance or accounting graduates were looking for candidates with additional competencies such as data analysis, programming, and blockchain knowledge.
Awards and rankings
Prajwala Yadlapalli, Naidu Yaswanth Reddy, and Parise Sri Vatsal Team CodeBlue) from Amrita School of Computing, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amaravati, won the first prize at DecodeX 2025 a national-level hackathon held at N. L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research, Mumbai.
The New College, Chennai, won the overall trophy in IRTIFAA 2K25 hosted by MEASI Institute of Information Technology. The event saw participation from 545 students from colleges across Chennai, Ambur, Vaniyambadi, and Tiruchi.
Gaurav Kumar, Abhishek Sarkar, and Himanshu Singh, students from Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Nagpur, came first in KIRIT 5.0, the case analysis competition hosted by Kirloskar Institute of Management. Suryansh Srivastava, Somil Puri, and Yahoo Singh from NIT-Raipur were declared runners-up.
Srivatsav, Srinivas and Sriram, students from Coimbatore’s Indian Public School, were the winners of the Monash University Change It Challenge final in Melbourne. Anna, Michelle and Neyja from Taman Rama Intercultural School, Bali, Indonesia, came second, while Aditya from International School, Dhaka, Bangladesh, came third.
