<p><b>ESCP </b>and <b>Sciences Po</b> have launched a new dual bachelor’s degree in Politics, Economics and Management (PEM) delivered entirely in English over four years. <p><b>Events</b></p>
<p><b>Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre,</b> Pimpri, Pune, hosted ROOTS IX, an annual conference on therapeutics in dermatology. The three-day event brought together dermatologists, academicians, clinicians, researchers and postgraduate students to discuss recent developments, emerging therapies and current practices in clinical, aesthetic and procedural dermatology.</p>
<p><b>The Enso Foundation</b> has announced that it will fund scholarships worth â¹500,000 annually over the next three years for students at Jai Hind College, Mumbai, so that they are not forced to abandon their studies for want of funds.</p>

<p><b>International Management Institute </b>(IMI) has appointed Prof. Amit Sareen as the Director of IMI Bhubaneswar. <p><b>GSFC University</b> hosted an orientation programme for the incoming batch of undergraduate and postgraduate students and introduced them to the institution’s values, academic ecosystem, industry-oriented learning approach, and campus life. <p><b>Prof. Payal Mehra, Professor of Communication, IIM Lucknow, conducted a study along with Dr. Himanshu Tyagi, Director, Orthopaedic Department, Fortis Hospital, New Delhi, </b>examining how cultural sensitivity, communication, and expectation management influence the experiences of international patients seeking medical treatment in India. The study suggests that hospitals serving international patients should invest in structured Inter-Cultural Communication (ICC) training programmes for healthcare professionals; strengthen patient confidence by enhancing their medical tourism websites with culturally relevant information about India, its healthcare ecosystem, and tourism opportunities; and leverage emerging technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) to demonstrate how Indian healthcare professionals adapt their communication styles to accommodate patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.</p>
<p><b>IIM Kashipur</b> commenced the academic session 2026–28 with the induction of 504 students across its MBA, MBA (Analytics), and Ph.D programmes. Sanjeev Krishan, Chairperson, PwC India, was the chief guest.</p>
<p><b>Prof. Dericks Praise Shukla from the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, IIT Mandi, along with his research scholars Ankit Singh and Nitesh Dhiman</b> have developed a fully functional Landslide Early Warning System (LEWS) and developed a Google Earth Engine (GEE) based web portal through which users can view landslide forecasts for the current day along with the previous three days.</p>
<p><b>Anshuman Kumar, Ashirbad Sai, Inderbir Singh, and Vyshnavi V., students of East Pojnt College of Engineering and Technology, Bengaluru</b>, have developed an AI-Powered Nutrition System for Enhanced Dietary Monitoring and Health Promotion under the guidance of Dr. Manimozhi Iyer, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The project leverages advanced technologies such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Computer Vision to analyse food images and generate personalised nutritional insights in real time and help users make healthier and informed dietary choices.</p>
<p><b>Casagrand International School </b>hosted the first Edition of Casagrand Model United Nations (CMUN) 2026, with over 200 student delegates from leading schools across Chennai. The event provided students with a platform to debate contemporary global issues, negotiate resolutions, and collaborate with peers while developing essential 21st-century skills. Abhishek Bharathkumar, well-known quiz master, was the chief guest.</p>
<p><b>KCG College of Technology</b> hosted the third International Conference on Integration of Advanced Technologies for Industry 5.0 (ICIATI 2026) in hybrid mode. Academicians, scientists, industry experts, entrepreneurs, researchers and students from India and abroad deliberated on the future of human-centric technology. <p><b>Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad </b>hosted a conference on<i> AIM-PEACE: AI in Management for People, Ethics, Accountability, Collaboration and Enterprise</i> bringing together academicians, researchers, industry leaders, policymakers, corporate professionals, and scholars from India and abroad to deliberate on the transformative role of AI in shaping the future of responsible management and sustainable enterprises. <p><b>Anurag University</b> celebrated its third Annual Convocation today, conferring degrees on 2,789 graduates across its schools of engineering, pharmacy, management, sciences and agriculture. Goutham Reddy, Chairman, CII and Executive Director of Re Sustainability Ltd., was the chief guest.</p>
<p><b>Wadhwani AI,</b> in collaboration with <b>The Bridgespan Group </b>and with support from <b>Google.org</b>, has released its report, <i>Harnessing AI in Education for Future Readiness: Bold Bets for Every Learner.</i> The report outlines a system-level roadmap to integrate responsible AI into India’s public education ecosystem, with a focus on scale, inclusion, and long-term impact. </p>
<p><b>IIM Kozhikode</b> hosted an inauguration ceremony for 599 students of its three full-time MBA programmes and 99 doctoral scholars. Raghu Polisetty, Senior Managing Director, Accenture, was the chief guest.</p>
<p><b> Goa Institute of Management </b>completed a five-day Academic Leadership Programme (ALP) for principals of Delhi University colleges such as Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Hindu College, Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR), Hans Raj College, Ramjas College, Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, Sri Venkateswara College, and Lady Irwin College, among others.</p>

<p>The Executive Board of the<b> Indian School of Business</b> (ISB) has appointed Professor Madan Pillutla as Dean for a second five-year term.</p>
<p><b>Arduino </b>has launched the Arduino Edge AI Invention Lab at the Student Innovation Lab (SIL), Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT-Delhi. <p><b>Navya, a Class 12 student of Modern Public School, </b>Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi, has been selected to represent Delhi in the global Mission ShaktiSAT initiative organised by Space Kidz India. </p>
<p><b>Caterpillar India</b> announced the winners of Tech Challenge 2026, its engineering innovation programme. The multi-month competition culminated in on-site grand finales held at Caterpillar facilities in Chennai, Tiruvallur, and Bengaluru, where shortlisted teams showcased working prototypes developed under the guidance of Caterpillar engineers. <p><b>Birla Institute of Management Technology </b>(BIMTECH), Greater Noida, has partnered with <b>Bisleri International’s CSR initiative, ‘Bottles for Change’</b>, to promote responsible plastic waste management and recycling across its campus. As part of the collaboration, BIMTECH aims to develop a zero-plastic waste campus by encouraging responsible plastic usage, segregation at source, and scientific recycling practices by engaging students, faculty, staff, and the wider campus community and Bisleri International will provide training to housekeeping personnel, students, faculty, and staff on responsible plastic waste management while ensuring that collected plastic is regularly channelled for recycling.</p>

<p><b>Manav Rachna University </b>has partnered with <b>CSIR–National Physical Laboratory</b> (CSIR-NPL), C-DAC, CSIR-CEERI, Pilani, and IPFT to integrate mandatory six-month research internships, live projects, and access to advanced government laboratories into select science and engineering programmes. Apart from hands-on exposure and mentorship for students, these partnerships also strengthen curriculum design, faculty engagement, and research-led learning.</p>
