<p>	 Visit Aims to Promote &#8216;Meri Mitti-Mera Desh&#8217; Campaign	 	</p>
<p>						JALANDHAR: Union Minister Anurag Thakur embarked on a significant visit to Phagwara, Punjab, today, where he made a heartfelt connection with the families of freedom fighters. His visit included participation in an event at Lovely Professional University in Phagwara, where he even indulged in a spirited Bhangra performance alongside enthusiastic young boys.</p>
<p>One notable stop during Thakur&#8217;s visit was Harbanspur village in Phagwara, where Union Minister Som Prakash Kanth joined him in a special gathering. At this gathering, both Union Ministers addressed the local community, emphasizing the significance of the &#8216;Meri Mitti Mera Desh&#8217; campaign. They also administered the oath of dedication to the gathered crowd. Subsequently, the ministers embarked on a tour of the surrounding villages, symbolically collecting soil as part of the Amrit Kalash Yatra.</p>
<p>Anurag Thakur was warmly welcomed upon his arrival in Phagwara, reflecting the local enthusiasm for his visit. During his address to the Pagari Saja Jansabha, he not only spoke about the &#8216;Meri Mitti Mera Desh&#8217; initiative but also showcased his affinity for the culture by participating in the traditional Punjabi dance form, Bhangra.</p>
<p>Explaining the &#8216;Meri Mitti Mera Desh&#8217; campaign, Anurag Thakur revealed that it aims to collect soil from 30 crore households across the country, involving 7,500 individuals in this noble endeavor. The collected soil will be utilized in the construction of memorials in the national capital, celebrating the unity and diversity of India.</p>
<p>In response to a controversial comment made by another minister, Udhayanidhi Stalin, regarding Sanatan Dharma, Anurag Thakur expressed a firm stance. He emphasized that those who sought to suppress Sanatan Dharma had ultimately faced defeat, and the enduring spirit of Sanatan would persist despite any challenges. In a clear message to his political adversaries, Thakur asserted that the heritage and values of Sanatan Dharma would endure, irrespective of external forces.<br />
