Three Individuals Booked for Rs 5.3 Lakh Fraud in Canada Immigration Scam

<p> <br &sol;>&NewLine;<br &sol;>&NewLine; &Tab; Visa Fraud<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&Tab; Further investigation in the matter is underway&Tab; &Tab;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&Tab;&Tab;&Tab;&Tab;&Tab;&Tab;MOHALI&colon; The Phase-11 Police Station has initiated legal action against three individuals in connection with a fraud case involving Rs 5&period;3 lakh purportedly for immigration to Canada&period; The accused in this case have been identified as Amrit Kaur&comma; Shubham Kumar&comma; and Sandeep Kaur&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Accused had established an immigration office under the banner of &&num;8220&semi;Blue Star Immigration Group of Company&&num;8221&semi; in Phase-11&period; A formal complaint was lodged by Karamjit Kaur&comma; a resident of Sultanpur Lodhi Kapurthala&comma; leading to the registration of a case against the accused&period; The charges filed include sections 406 &lpar;criminal breach of trust&rpar;&comma; 420 &lpar;cheating&rpar;&comma; 120B &lpar;criminal conspiracy&rpar; of the Indian Penal Code &lpar;IPC&rpar;&comma; and section 24 of the Immigration Act&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Complaint dates back to March 28 when Paramjit Kaur approached the management of the Blue Star Company with the intention of obtaining a study visa for her son&comma; Ekamjot&comma; to pursue education in Canada&period; The company&&num;8217&semi;s representatives had initially quoted a sum of Rs 20 lakh for facilitating visas for Ekamjot and his parents and children to travel to Canada&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Subsequently&comma; Paramjit Kaur made an initial payment of Rs 5&period;3 lakhs&period; However&comma; the accused later informed her that the visa had been declined and assured her that the funds would be refunded&period; Regrettably&comma; the accused neither reimbursed the money nor facilitated the intended visas&period; Following an investigation conducted by the Anti-Human Trafficking unit&comma; the accused were found to be culpable&period; As a result&comma; a case was formally registered against the three individuals affiliated with the immigration company&period; <br &sol;>&NewLine;&Tab;&Tab;&Tab;&Tab;&Tab;&Tab; end-of <&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;
