<p>						HOSHIARPUR: In a deeply distressing incident, Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former Sarpanch, Surjit Singh Ankhi, fell victim to a fatal shooting in the local village of Meghowal Ganjian situated in Hoshiarpur. The assault transpired when two unknown assailants on a motorcycle targeted the respected SAD leader, leaving the community in shock and fear.</p>
<p>The Assailants, yet to be identified, carried out the brazen attack on Surjit Singh Ankhi, inflicting serious injuries. In a state of distress, he was swiftly transported to a private hospital in Hoshiarpur for urgent medical attention. Tragically, medical professionals pronounced him deceased due to the severity of his wounds.
