Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit’s Border District Visit Rescheduled to Commence on October 4

<p> <br &sol;>&NewLine;<br &sol;>&NewLine; &Tab; Governor <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&Tab; Punjab Governor will interact with local panchayats &amp&semi; engage with communities residing in these regions&Tab; &Tab;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&Tab;&Tab;&Tab;&Tab;&Tab;&Tab;CHANDIGARH&colon; Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit is set to undertake his fifth visit to the border districts of the state&comma; beginning on October 4&period; During this three-day visit&comma; he will tour the border villages of Pathankot&comma; Gurdaspur&comma; Amritsar&comma; Tarn Taran&comma; Ferozepur&comma; and Fazilka&comma; engaging with local panchayats and interacting with residents&period; Notably&comma; the Governor has chosen not to utilize the Punjab government&&num;8217&semi;s helicopter for transportation during this visit&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Initially scheduled from September 20 to 22&comma; the visit had to be postponed due to the arrival of Home Minister Amit Shah on September 26 and the Northern Regional Council meeting&period; The revised itinerary includes interactions in Pathankot and Gurdaspur on the first day&comma; followed by visits to Amritsar and Tarn Taran on the second day&comma; and concluding with engagements in Ferozepur and Fazilka on the third day&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The decision to abstain from using the state government&&num;8217&semi;s helicopter stems from the ongoing discord between Governor Purohit and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann&period; Governor Purohit had previously asked the Chief Minister to account for Rs 50&comma;000 crore&comma; contributing to the strained relations between the two&period; Chief Minister Mann had criticized the Governor&&num;8217&semi;s use of the Punjab government&&num;8217&semi;s helicopter in July&comma; prompting Governor Purohit to announce his decision to refrain from utilizing it in the future&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;13&semi;<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;>&NewLine;&Tab;&Tab;&Tab;&Tab;&Tab;&Tab; end-of <&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;
