<p><b>Prin. L.N. <p><b>Pearl Academy</b> hosted Portfolio 2025-Delhi Edition, its annual graduation showcase. Students presented projects that blended AI, sustainability, and disruptive design thinking across fashion, styling, interior, communication, textile, and product design. </p>
<p>Acer held the inaugural A<b>cer Edu Summit Asia Pacific 2025</b> on the theme <i>Shaping Tomorrow: AI and Digital Technologies in Education.</i> Educators from Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam exchanged views on how emerging technologies are reshaping classrooms and preparing students for a digitally-driven future. </p>
<p>A recent report by study abroad platform, <b>Gradding.com, </b>shows that the number of Indian students opting for destinations such as Singapore, Ireland, and Dubai has increased by 38%. It also reports that countries such as the U.K., the U.S., and Australia have dropped in student choices as sought-after destinations.</p>
<p>The UGC has granted approval to the<b> Illinois Institute of Technology (Illinois Tech), Chicago, the U.S., </b>to establish an independent degree-granting campus in India. Opening in fall 2026, the Illinois Tech Mumbai campus will offer a range of UG and PG programmes in fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, and Business. </p>
<p><b>The Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai</b>, launched the Centre for Energy Science and Technology to spearhead the development of advanced, safe reactors, train the next generation of nuclear engineers and scientists, and develop a dedicated nuclear professional training programme, among others.</p>
<p>Club Technica, part of School of Engineering and Research at ITM University, Raipur, in collaboration with the <b>Institution Innovation Council,</b> hosted INNOVRITTI 1.0. Events included Start-up Evolution, Code-2-Champion, Voiceclash, Robokritti, and Gaming Mania and guests included Prof. Vijay Kumar Goyal, Chairman, CGPURC; Dr. Rajarshi Mahapatra from IIIT-Naya Raipur; and entrepreneur Kavita Dev.</p>
<p><b>Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad, </b>hosted a Startup Conclave 2025 on the theme The Startup Rise: Innovate, Scale, Succeed. Deepali Dev, Chief Operating Officer, ECO Mobility; Arunabh Sinha, Founder, U-Clean; Dipan Sahu, Asst Innovation Director, Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, AICTE, were among the speakers.</p>
<p><b>DEVI Sansthan </b>hosted Leadership Circle 3, a seminar to strengthen the national movement for Foundational Literacy and Numeracy. Awanish Kumar Awasthi (IAS), Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh, was the chief guest. </p>
<p><b>Researchers from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela (NIT Rourkela) </b> have developed an effective upgrade to Electrocardiography (ECG), a common technique to monitor heart activity, which will help improve the accuracy of arrhythmia detection, both by doctors and by computer-based diagnostic tools. The findings have been published in journals such as Biomedical Signal Processing and Control, Medical Hypotheses, and Physical and Engineering Sciences in Medicine. </p>
<p><b>Awards</b></p>
<p><b>Dipankar Hazarika, </b>Ph.D. scholar from <b>Nagaland University, </b>was awarded the Energy Innovation Fellowship Grant by the Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi, for his Research on Battery Technologies. </p>
<p><b>Two teams from Jadavpur Vidyapith, Kolkata, and DAV Nandaraj Public School, Ranchi, </b>represented India in Otis India’s Made to Move Communities challenge on the theme Developing Urban Mobility Solutions Using AI.</p>
<p><b>Bipin Nair and his team at Amrita School of Biotechnology, along with School of Physical Sciences, Coimbatore, </b>was declared one of the nine winners of the C-CAMP Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR) Challenge 2024–25, organised by the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms.</p>
<p><b>Collaborations and partnerships</b></p>
<p><b>Macquarie University</b> has signed an MoU with <b>Krea University,</b> to offer dual degree programme. Students will complete two years at Krea University in one of the following programmes: Bachelor of Arts (Honours) majoring in History, Politics, and Social Studies or Bachelor of Science(Honours) majoring in Social Studies, History, and Politics and transfer to Macquarie University and complete their degrees in either the Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Modern History, Politics, Sociology) or Bachelor of Social Sciences (majoring in Climate, Environment and Society, Health, Wellbeing and Society, Work, Life and Technology). </p>
<p><b>RV University, Bengaluru,</b> has partnered with <b>Arizona State University</b> to enable its students pursue UG and PG degrees in Computer Science and Engineering, Business, Management, Design and Liberal Arts. Student exchange programmes, shared academic initiatives, and the introduction of new learning pathways are also part of the collaboration.</p>
