<p>Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the second edition of DesignXathon 2026, its design challenge on the theme Envision an Iconic Vehicle Gen Z and Alpha Aspire to own in 2036. <p><b>The Faculty of Management at South Asian University</b> and <b>New Delhi Institute of Management</b> organised the International Leadership Summit 2026. The theme was <i>Leading Through Change: Geopolitics, Technology, and Institutional Leadership</i>. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, delivered the keynote address and also inaugurated the South Asian Enterprise Impact Centre (SAEIC).</p>
<p><b>Prestige University Indore</b> has launched a B.Sc. Quantitative Economics (BSc QuantEcon), offered through its Multi-Path Learning Opportunities model that allows modular, flexible study pathways aligned to students’ strengths and career goals.</p>
<p><b>The Institute of Bakery and Culinary Arts</b> trained the pilot batch as part of its collaboration with the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality (CTH) with 25 students receiving their certifications. This programme offers British certifications regulated by OFQUAL, the U.K. government’s qualifications regulator</p>
<p><b>Indian School of Business</b> marked its 25<sup>th</sup> year by welcoming 839 students to its Post Graduate Programme Class of 2027 across its Hyderabad and Mohali campuses.</p>

Also, its <b>SWAYAM Course Committee</b> organised a SWAYAM workshop on interdisciplinary learning and digital pedagogy.</p>
<p><b>GCC School</b> hosted a roundtable discussion in Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, on the theme Impact of New-Age Learning on Building the Future Workforce and Finance Professionals. Representatives from more than 28 colleges participated.</p>
<p><b>Mahindra University </b>hosted the International Arbitration Confluence 2026: Law, Technology and the Changing World Order. Justice V. Kameswar Rao, Judge, High Court of Delhi, was the chief guest.</p>
<p><b>The Department of Biosciences and Department of Hospitality Management, Graphic Era Deemed University</b>, hosted the valedictory session of BIOCOM 2026, its international conference. Ruchi Mohan Rayal, Additional Secretary of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Uttarakhand, was the chief guest.</p>
<p>A research report on Multilingual Education in India launched by the <b>British Council, Cambridge University Press and Assessment, and the University of Cambridge, the U.K.</b>, highlighted that structured multilingual pedagogy improves reading comprehension and learning outcomes in English-medium government schools. </p>
<p>A survey conducted by <b>Silverline Prestige School </b>across Delhi NCR, Meerut, Chandigarh, and Lucknow, found that 85% of students in Classes 9 to 12 are using AI tools in their education. Around 150,000 students, parents, and teachers participated in the study.</p>
<p><b>Sigma University</b>, in collaboration with <b>Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology </b>and <b>Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance,</b> Vietnam, organised an International Conference on Advanced Research in Science, Technology and Management 2026. Prof. Anil Bhardwaj, Director of the Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad, was the chief guest.</p>
<p><b>IIT Roorkee </b>and <b>INVEST UP </b>hosted a National Policy Workshop on Advancing Renewable Energy Policy for Uttar Pradesh on the theme Benchmarking National Missions, Leading State Frameworks and the Emerging Net Zero Economy. Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, delivered the keynote address.</p>
<p>Researchers at <b>IIT Kanpur, led by Prof. Hamim Zafar, collaborated with the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, Australia</b>, to develop a computational tool to decode cell communication in complex tissues. The findings were published in Nature Communications. Another team from IIT Kanpur, in collaboration with scientists from <b>IISc Bangalore </b>and the<b> University of Lübeck, Germany, </b>developed a laser-based predictive framework to control droplet propulsion and breakup. A paper was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.</p>
<p>Researchers from<b> Nagaland University,</b> in collaboration with <b> University of Johannesburg, South Africa, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, and Parul University, Gujarat,</b> found that biochar could be an affordable solution to water scarcity and soil degradation in the state’s hilly regions. The study was published in Springer Nature’s journal Discover Soil.</p>
<p><b>Angana Borah, Adrija Datta, Ashish S. Kumar, Raviraj Dave, and Udit Bhatia </b>from <b>IIT Gandhinagar</b> analysed 138 Indian cities from 2003 to 2020 to show that, while urban greening helps reduce heat stress, cities require climate-responsive planning to maximise cooling benefits. The paper was published in Nature Communications.</p>
<p><b>IIAD/UDIT </b>hosted its annual Graduate Show, Unfold 2026, to showcase the academic and creative journeys of its students. Participants included Sunil Sethi, Chairman of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI); designer Tarun Tahiliani; Vimarsh Razdan, co-founder and CEO of Underneat; Sushant Verma of rat[LAB]; documentary filmmaker Faiza Khan; art director Mainak Das; and architect Ashok B. <p><b>The University of Liverpool, the U.K.,</b> has appointed <b>Prof. Richard Grose </b>as Provost for the Alembic City campus, Bengaluru. He was earlier Dean for International at Queen Mary University of London (Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry).</p>
