<p><b>Events</b></p>
<p><b>St. Peter’s School Panchgani</b>, has established a dedicated on-campus gallery chronicling the formative years of Freddie Mercury, its celebrated alumnus and the frontman of Queen. The gallery features a curated collection of archival photographs, reproduced school records, personal anecdotes, and narrative installations.</p>
<p><b>Noida International University </b>hosted the Educators’ Meet 2026 in Jaunpur to award meritorious students with the Academic Excellence Award 2026 in the presence of educators, academic leaders and students.</p>
<p><b>Jaipuria Institute of Management </b>hosted the One Jaipuria Staff Development Programme on the theme <i>Empower to Excel</i>. The focus was on capability building, institutional learning and academic leadership. Faculty and staff from all four campuses participated.</p>
<p>A research team led by <b>Prof.Parameswar K. Iyer at IIT Guwahati </b>has developed a new perovskite semiconductor technology with potential applications in solar cells and memory devices. The findings were published in the journal Advanced Functional Materials.</p>
<p><b>KCG College of Technology</b> hosted its Industry Day and Placement Awards, bringing together industry leaders, recruiters, academicians and students to discuss engineering careers in an AI-driven world. C.R. Ashok, co-founder and MD of Ardelisys Technologies, was the chief guest.</p>
<p><b>IISc Bengaluru</b> inaugurated the Wadhwani-IISc Innovation Centre. A.S. Kiran Kumar, former Chair of ISRO and Chair of the Apex Committee, ISRO, inaugurated the centre, which aims to catalyse deep-tech innovation, startup incubation, and industry collaboration. The institute also hosted Quantum Pitch Fest 2026, where researchers, startups, and innovators presented breakthrough ideas in quantum computing, communication, and sensing that were evaluated by experts and investors. The event also marked the launch of InQubate, a quantum startup acceleration platform designed to nurture early-stage ideas and propel them into impactful enterprises.</p>
<p><b>The Science Olympiad Foundation</b> honoured over 100 international rank-holders and recognised teachers and principals from 72 countries at a felicitation ceremony attended by education and industry leaders. Dignitaries included Prof. Y S Rajan, former Vikram Sarabhai Distinguished Professor at ISRO; Himanshu Gupta (IAS), Secretary, CBSE, Ministry of Education, and Praveen Gupta, Chairman, Marengo Asia International Institute of Neuro and Spine.</p>
<p><b>Jaipuria School of Business,</b> Ghaziabad, hosted its 15th convocation at which 224 students from the PGDM batch of 2024–2026 received their degrees. Shreekant Somany, CMD of Somany Ceramics was the chief guest.</p>
<p><b>World University of Design</b>, Sonipat, showcased 60 graduate projects across fashion and textile design, communication design, interior architecture; architecture, and more at the second edition of its MIW (Made in WUD) Design Show.</p>
<p><b>The Hindustan Group of Institutions</b> — through the HITS School of Management, in association with the <b>Office of International Affairs</b> — organised the Global Knowledge Exchange Series for Faculty Excellence. The Faculty Development Programme focused on the theme Entrepreneurship, MedTech and Interdisciplinary Research. Prof. Kevin Fynn, Emeritus Professor at Curtin University, Australia, and Prof. Paisarn Muneesawang, Professor at Mahidol University, Thailand, spoke at the event.</p>
<p><b>IIT Ropar </b>has introduced a revamped undergraduate engineering curriculum with a flexible, student-driven framework that will take effect from the academic session 2026-27. Under the new B.Tech. Curriculum 2026, students will complete most of their compulsory core courses by the end of the fifth semester. The remaining three semesters will be largely free for advanced electives, internships, research projects, start-up work and interdisciplinary exploration. Students can draw on up to 30 credits of open electives, allowing them to study subjects well outside their parent discipline. The four-year programme will carry a total of 160 credits. Admissions under the new curriculum will begin in the academic year 2026-27.</p>
<p><b>IIT Mandi</b> hosted the third International Mind, Brain and Consciousness Conference, which was organised by the Indian Knowledge Systems and Mental Health Applications (IKSMHA) Centre. The chief guest was Bharatanatyam exponent Padma Subrahmanyam. Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty, one of India’s foremost Hindustani classical vocalists, delivered the keynote address.</p>
<p>On World Menstrual Hygiene Day, <b>Menstrupedia </b>and <b>Stayfree </b>hosted an event at Narayana Business School, Ahmedabad, on the need for a transformative dialogue around the importance of changing the narrative from taboos to creating an inclusive environment for girls and women. NBS students also participated in a real-world marketing challenge on the theme How boys and men can play an active part in normalising period conversations in Indian households.</p>
<p><b>MIT World Peace University </b>and the <b>National Institute of Personnel Management </b>hosted the Industry Academia Conclave 2026 on the theme <i>Bridging Ideas. Building Futures. </i>Thyagu Valliappa, Vice Chairman, Sona Valliappa Group, gave the keynote address. Senior professionals from IBM, Biocon, Canonical, Kraft Heinz India, JLL, and other organisations also spoke at the event. </p>
<p><b>Istituto Marangoni Mumbai</b> collaborated with <b>Design POV ’26 </b>to present a student-led installation that explored nostalgia, memory, and sensory storytelling through the lens of contemporary design. Second-year Interior Design students <b>Mokshita Chohan, Myra Jain, and Rutuj Kankaria</b> showcased their experiential installation, Sensory Archives.</p>
<p><b>IIM Kashipur</b> concluded the sixth edition of the Management Education and Research Colloquium (MERC 2026). Professor R. Edward Freeman from the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia, and Prof. Jeffrey M. Wooldridge from Michigan State University, the U.S., spoke at the event. Radhika R. and Sweta Gupta from IIM-Lucknow were placed first and second and Monika Alhan from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, was placed third in the Best Paper Awards.</p>
<p><b>The University of Galway, Ireland,</b> and <b>Presidency University, Bengaluru</b>, held talks to strengthen academic collaboration and create international learning pathways for Indian students, looking at study abroad opportunities in Ireland.</p>
<p><b>The Institute of Risk Management </b>(IRM) India Affiliate has established its third Global Centre for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) at Chitkara University, Punjab, to enable learners to develop a structured understanding of risk across domains such as finance, technology, operations, governance, and sustainability. </p>
