<p><b>Admissions and scholarships</b></p>
<p><b>Somaiya Vidyavihar University </b>has opened admissions for 2025- 2026 for programmes in languages, literature, writing, and communication offered by its Faculty of Languages and Literature (FLL).</p>
<p><b>Programmes</b>: MA in Marathi Bhasha, Sahitya ani Upyojit Marathi; MA in Gujarati Literature, Translation and Media; MA in Hindi Sahitya, and MA in English Literature and Communication Studies</p>

<p><b>The University of Sheffield, the U.K.,</b> invites applications for its MSc Environmental Change and International Development course starting this September.</p>

<p><b>Richard Marles MP, Australia’s Deputy Prime Minister, </b>led the education forum at the University of Melbourne’s Global Centre in Delhi. It marked the fifth anniversary of the Australia-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.</p>
<p><b>Great Lakes Institute of Management Gurugram </b>welcomed 170 students to its Post Graduate Programme in Management.</p>
<p><b>IIM </b>Bangalore welcomed 29 students to its PhD programme Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIM Bangalore, addressed the students in a speech titled <i>Embarking on an Impactful Academic Career.</i></p>
<p><b>MAHE Manipal </b>organised PANORAMA 2025, an in-person immersion event for its online degree and certificate learners across MBA, MCA, MSc in Data Science, MSc in Business Analytics, PGCP in Logistics and Supply Chain, and PGCP in Business Analytics. The MAHE Online Alumni Portal was launched as a part of the event.</p>
<p><b>The Staff Selection Commission (SSC</b>), in association with<b> Cubastion Consulting Pvt. Ltd., </b>has introduced an enhanced version of My SSC, its mobile application, to simplify and safeguard the registration and application process for candidates across the country. It includes digital features such as Aadhaar-linked OTP authentication, one-time candidate registration, and face recognition through Aadhaar Face RD app. It can be downloaded from Google Play Store.</p>
<p><b>Shamir Lens </b>conducted a dispensing workshop for optometry students at ITM’s Institute of Health Sciences. Topics included component aspects of dispensing such as lens selection, lens fitting, and lens adjustments. Students witnessed a live demonstration of Spark 4, a tool, and how eye-care professionals used it to fit lenses with precision and speed.</p>
<p><b>The IISc Innovation Council, </b>in collaboration with the<b> Foundation for Science Innovation and Development (FSID) at IISc Bangalore, </b>conducted Ché-Mystery: Science and Career, a Chemistry Workshop aimed at high school students. Over 35 students from schools across Bengaluru and beyond participated. Topics included <i>From Natural Philosophy to Chemistry; Chemistry’s Industrial Impact, and Why Study Chemistry Today?</i></p>
<p><b>IIT Guwahati </b>researchers have developed a method for detecting and measuring the amount of SARS-CoV-2, that causes COVID-19. The research findings have been published in the journal<i>, Applied Clay Science</i>, in a paper co-authored by Prof. T.V. Bharat, Department of Civil Engineering, and Prof. Sachin Kumar, Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, along with research scholars Himanshu Yadav and Deepa Mehta, at IIT Guwahati.</p>
<p><b>IIT Roorkee </b>was part of a collaborative effort which discovered 188Astatine (188At), a new atomic nucleus. This discovery was achieved through an experiment at the Accelerator Laboratory of the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, along with the theory developed at IIT Roorkee and Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal. Scientists have also reported the first evidence of a phenomenon called the Thomas-Ehrman shift in heavy nuclei. The research findings have been published in the journal <i>Nature Communications.</i></p>
<p><b>KIIT World School, Sohna Road, </b>hosted a workshop to familiarise educators with the provisions and practical implementation of the NEP 2020. It featured sessions by experts Sneh Bansal, Assistant Professor, NCERT, and Anju Verma, an educationist and language expert. They highlighted the importance of learner-centric teaching methodologies including self-assessment and peer evaluation, as key tools in fostering holistic development.</p>
<p><b>Smiling Tree </b>partnered with<b> Delhi Public School, RK Puram,</b> for DIGEX x CYBERX 2025, its annual event. Events included photography, filmmaking, ethical hacking, among others. It also collaborated with <b>Haritima (The Environmental Awareness Society), Garden Committee, NSS,</b> and <b>Institution’s Innovation Council of Hansraj College, University of Delhi,</b> to launch a vertical garden plantation drive on campus.</p>
<p><b>MIT-World Peace University </b>has launched a battery fabrication and research facility focused on lithium-ion and sodium-ion technologies. Equipped with the latest tools and instrumentation, the facility supports academic research and collaborative projects with industry and research institutions.</p>
<p><b>Vikalp India </b>launched its STEAM Lab at Home initiative to bring experiential learning to students’ homes. It aims to make learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) hands-on. Students can establish their dedicated learning areas at home. At the start of the academic year, each student will receive a DIY kit encompassing Science, Social Science, and Maths.</p>
<p><b>FLAME University </b>concluded the fifth edition of its Creators Residency <i>themed Tradigital Trance: One World for Traditional and Digital Art</i>. It recognised three artists experimenting with hand-drawn animation, Aboriginal painting reimagined through interactivity, and digitally synthesised classical music —<b> Ritwika Ganguly, Ninad Palandurkar, and Aditya Dipankar,</b> respectively.</p>
<p><b>Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR, </b>held its Young Thinkers Forum (YTF) Summer School where over 110 students from 50 schools across 15 states participated. It featured over 30 sessions across subjects including Maths, Science, Astronomy, Entrepreneurship, Robotics, among others. The newly launched Robotics Tech Tinkers Programme witnessed participation from students in classes 7 to 12.</p>
<p><b>Lovely Professional University, </b>in association with the<b> Department of Skill Education, CBSE, </b>New Delhi, hosted the Edu-Leaders Conclave. Over 40 principals from CBSE-affiliated schools across India, participated. Interactive sessions were held on themes such as edu-revolution, experiential learning, leadership, NEP implementation, and more.</p>
<p><b>Venkateshwar International School, </b>Sector 10, Dwarka, launched VISion X &#8211; Xposure Xperience Xtrapowerment, a Summer Internship Programme. It was designed to integrate academic learning with practical experience for students of classes 11 and 12. Over 133 students participated.</p>
<p>Adelaide University has appointed Prof. Nicola Phillips as its vice chancellor effective from January 2026. She is currently the Provost at the University of Melbourne and has served as acting and interim vice chancellor. </p>
<p>Policybazaar was recently selected as a project partner by Harvard Business School for its FIELD Global Capstone Project. It will now join the cohort of 156 organisations across 14 countries. </p>
<p>SP Jain School of Global Management concluded internship placements for its Master of Global Business (MGB) Class of 2024 students. Recruiters included LVMH, Dabur, Anand Rathi, Beiersdorf Middle East, SAP, Puma, Himalaya Wellness, Purelab, and Pirelli, to name a few.</p>

<p>The Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) launched an AI-driven podcast designed in a discussion format. <p><b>World Environment Day (WED)</b></p>
<p><b>IIT Bangalore, </b>in collaboration with the Jeevanmukthi Foundation Charitable Trust,<b> </b>organised a plantation drive at HSR Layout, Bengaluru, in Sudarvana Urban Forest, to celebrate WED. </p>
<p><b>Ryan International Academy, Sarjapur, </b>celebrated WED through a range of environment-focused activities based on the theme #BeatPlasticPollution. It also declared its green mission to plant over 1,500 saplings.</p>
<p><b>Whistling Woods International </b>launched a campus-wide initiative where sustainability warriors will collect and transform plastic waste into sustainable T-shirts. Up to 50 kgs of plastic waste is processed each month from the campus and surrounding areas, and repurposed into limited-edition garments.</p>
<p><b>IIM Nagpur </b>celebrated WED through six projects that work together to reduce the campus’s environmental impact and promote green living. These include a 2MW Power project to make the campus self-sustained for its energy needs; rainwater harvesting systems have been installed across the campus; wastewater being treated for reuse, to name a few.</p>

<p><b>Financial Times Executive Education Custom Ranking 2025</b></p>
<p><b>IIM Kozhikode</b> made its debut and secured the 87th position globally.</p>
<p><b>Excelia Business School, France,</b> secured the 43rd rank globally and 12th rank among French schools.</p>
<p><b>IIM Bangalore </b>secured a Level 5 Pioneering School position with a score of 9.3 out of 10 in the 2025 edition of the <b>Positive Impact Rating.</b></p>
<p><b>The Centre for Science Learning and Creativity</b> Science Museum in Shoghi stood first in the Himachal Pradesh Environment Leadership Award 2023–24. It was presented by Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh.</p>

<p><b>BITS Pilani </b>partnered with the<b> USC Viterbi School of Engineering </b>to strengthen academic ties and foster innovation through joint research, educational initiatives, and student and faculty exchanges.</p>
<p><b>Management Development Institute</b> signed an MoU with <b>the Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Development</b> to strengthen academic collaboration. </p>
<p><b>IIT Kanpur </b>signed an MoU with <b>NMexus™,</b> a New Mexico-based non-profit Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), to enhance bilateral collaboration in several areas. These include clean and sustainable energy, aerospace, AI, cybersecurity, quantum computing, robotics, and advanced manufacturing.</p>
<p><b>Aptech Limited </b>has signed an articulation agreement with the <b>International School of Management </b>(ISM), Germany. This will enable international students from its Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering programme to gain direct entry into the final year of ISM’s UG programmes across its campuses in Germany, through a Credit Transfer Facility (CTF). </p>
