<p><b>Global Youth Action Fund </b></p>
<p>The International Baccalaureate has launched the Global Youth Action Fund for students between 12 and 19 years, who have a project or idea designed to positively impact the community. <p><b>Admissions and scholarships</b></p>
<p><b>KL Deemed to be University </b>has opened admissions across its Vijayawada and Hyderabad campuses to UG and PG courses. The second phase of the entrance exams is scheduled to take place in February. The application deadline is February 5.</p>
<p><b>Entrance exams: </b>Koneru Lakshmaiah Engineering Entrance Examination (KLEEE) for B.Tech programmes, KLECET for B.Tech lateral entry, and KLMAT for Management programmes. For other disciplines, admission is based on merit scores followed by a Personal Interview.</p>

<p><b>Whistling Woods </b>held its convocation where over 300 graduates received their degrees. </p>
<p><b>Quest Alliance</b> concluded its five-day hackathon, <i>Hack to the Future: Innovating for Participatory Futures</i>. Over 57 students from five Indian states participated. </p>
<p><b>The British Council </b>hosted a seminar on Online, Distance and Digitally delivered Learning to shed light on the current opportunities and challenges in online learning. It also announced a Going Global Partnerships grants to promote collaboration and innovation in teaching and learning and transnational education in HEIs between India and the U.K. </p>
<p><b>NMIMS’s Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering,</b> Mumbai, hosted the Social Conclave 2025. It addressed societal issues with a focus on renewable energy and power. </p>
<p><b>Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai</b>, commemorated the International Holocaust Remembrance Day by marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and extermination camp. The event featured the inauguration of an exhibition titled In the Country of Numbers – Where the Men Have No Names. </p>
<p><b>The Ashoka Centre for Translation at Ashoka University</b>, in collaboration with the<b> New India Foundation, </b>launched Bhashavaad, a non-profit, open-access, and crowd-sourced database of Indian translations. Opening with over 14,000 entries, 6,500 authors, and 7,000 translators, it is now live at <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.bhashavaad.in/">www.bhashavaad.in</a>. </p>
<p><b>NIT Rourkela</b> researchers have developed a process for efficiently treating industrial wastewater contaminated with persistent dyes such as Bismarck Brown R. Led by Prof. Sujit Sen, Department of Chemical Engineering, the research team, includes Madhumita Manna, research graduate, NIT Rourkela, and Prof Binay Kanti Dutta, former professor, IIT Kharagpur. This research, supported by Science and Engineering Research Board, DST, India, has been published in the <i>Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering</i>. </p>
<p><b>Ronith Chetan Raj and Uzair Arafath Shaik of class nine, Excel Public School, Mysuru,</b> emerged as finalists at the CBSE Skil Expo and Guidance Festival 2024 for their inclusive mobility solution Marvel Kart. It aims to bring convenience and ease of commute for people with disabilities. </p>
<p>Students of various campuses o<b>f JBCN International School</b> participated in the 25th Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Mumbai and presented art installations. They were Timeless Sanctuary by the school’s Parel campus; Colours of Infinity from Oshiwara; Echoes Within from Borivali, and Reflections of Infinity from Chembur. </p>
<p><b>Aakash Educational Services </b>launched Aakash Invictus, an advanced programme for JEE preparation. It brings together around 500 JEE faculty, and features integrated phygital learning and study resources. </p>
<p><b>Bajaj Foundation</b> hosted the second edition of the Youth Eco Summit themed <i>Future Green Leaders: Powering an E-Waste Revolution.</i> It brought together over 2,000 students from 60 BMC-supported schools to educate them about e-waste and the challenges it presents.</p>
<p><b>Srinivasan Sampath, Assistant Professor and Navya PV, </b>a research scholar from the Department of Materials Science at the<b> Central University of Tamil Nadu</b>, have invented a new class of colour-changing glasses. It can change colour with the flip of an electrical switch. The research has been published in the Advanced Functional Materials journal.</p>
<p><b>Global Learning Council </b>(GLC), in partnership with <b>Axilor Ventures and Pratithi Investments</b>, hosted the EcoInnovators Challenge in Bengaluru, which focused on creating sustainability related solutions leveraging emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and more. A Demo Day was held at the Infosys Science Foundation, with around 100 students specially invited from selected colleges in Bengaluru. Finalists presented a variety of ideas and solutions related to areas such as biodiversity, water pollution, circular economy business model, air pollution, and energy management. </p>
<p><b>Zee Learn </b>unveiled ZNIUS, which provides an end-to-end pedagogy up to class 12. It covers co-scholastic needs such as financial literacy and physical education, with AR-enabled digital content and gamified learning. It is supported by a Learning Management System to simplify the needs of school management. </p>
<p><b>EBC Financial Group </b>partnered with the <b>Shakti Empowerment Education Foundation</b>, to support the Ramakrishna Vedanta Vidyapith School in West Bengal, India. The collaboration will provide 50 low-income students with access to educational material, uniforms, vocational sewing classes, and extracurricular activities.</p>
<p><b>Techno India Group Public School, Mankundu,</b> hosted its annual cultural programme: Manzil – Our Dream Destination. Udaan an initiative which includes mental wellness, spoken English, nutrition and fitness was launched.</p>
<p>The ninth <b>Dr. M.V. Kamath Endowment Memorial Lecture </b>was organised by the Manipal Institute of Communication. Journalist Shekhar Gupta shed light on growth and reform priorities in India. </p>
<p><b>BITS Pilani</b> inaugurated an Advanced Research Centre for Sustainable Energy Technologies, a Centre of Excellence focused on advancing clean energy solutions. </p>
<p><b>Amity University, Mumbai, </b>set a Guinness World Record where 399 participants across 23 teams participated in a session on advertisement production. The event began with a mentoring session to guide participants through the creative and technical aspects of advertising. It was followed by a workshop where students created their ad films. </p>
<p><b>IIIT Hyderabad</b> and <b>swecha.org</b> organised AI Hackday, an AI hackathon. Over 60 faculty and 100 industry mentors mentored over 2,000 students working on projects. It culminated in AI Days 2025 Spark Camp, where 100 production-ready AI applications were developed to address India’s challenges. </p>
<p><b>PhysicsWallah</b> recently hosted The PhysicsWallah Principal Conclave featuring keynotes and panel discussions targeted at empowering educators. Over 100 school principals and education leaders participated. It also honoured 1,581 students who emerged as top performers in the National Scholarship Admission Test 2024, with over â¹2.2 crore in cash rewards.</p>
<p><b>FLAME University </b>hosted B.S. Nagesh, Non-Executive Chairman, Shoppers Stop Ltd., as part of its Industry Connect Initiative. He shared insights on customer centricity and emphasised the importance of placing customers at the core of business strategies.</p>
<p><b>The University of Dundee </b>unveiled <i>The Living Lab Journal,</i> which aims to address today’s pressing environmental challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental degradation. </p>
<p><b>IIT Mandi</b> hosted the second edition of its conclave, HIVE 2.0 where a Skill Development Hub was inaugurated. The conclave explored emerging innovations in Human-Computer Interaction. </p>
<p><b>IIT Guwahati</b> researchers in collaboration with Duke-NUS Medical School, the National University of Singapore, Singapore, and the University of Michigan, the U.S., have developed a multi-stage clinical trial method. It adapts treatment plans in real-time, based on each patient’s responses during trials, enabling tailored healthcare solutions. The research findings have been published in the journal Biometrics in a paper co-authored by Palash Ghosh, along with his research scholar Rik Ghosh from IIT Guwahati, Bibhas Chakraborty from Duke-NUS Medical School, National University of Singapore, along with Inbal Nahum-Shani and Megan E. Patrick, from University of Michigan.</p>

<p><b>Aditya Birla World Academy </b>concluded its annual event, FETE 2025, themed <i>Touching Hearts, Impacting Lives.</i> Students, parents, and educators raised funds for social causes.</p>
<p><b>Edunet Foundation</b>, in collaboration with <b>IBM</b>, hosted the IBM SkillsBuild Hackathon in Pune, where 72 teams from 41 institutes across Maharashtra participated. </p>

<p><b>MoUs and partnerships</b></p>
<p><b>Dvara Health Finance </b>signed an MoU with the <b>Institute of Health Management Research</b> to jointly develop and launch a Diploma in Community Health and Digital Healthcare Operations. It is designed to train healthcare workers to bridge gaps between patients, digital health technologies, and licensed healthcare providers, particularly in rural areas.</p>
<p><b>IIT Guwahati </b>signed an MoU with<b> Miraclus Orthotech</b> to collaborate on research, development, and testing of advanced orthopaedic implants and instruments.</p>
<p><b>Samsung </b>has partnered with <b>EMBIBE </b>to integrate it into the Samsung Education Hub app, a designed-for-TV education app. The collaboration will help TVs become effective educational tools providing personalised learning for students.
