Teen Indie Film Awards (TIFA) 2025

Hombale Film is collaborating with RV University’s Teen Indie Film Awards (TIFA) 2025, a platform to recognise and celebrate excellence and creativity in filmmaking by school and university students from across the globe. Awards are given in two categories: Teenage Filmmakers (13-19 years) and Emerging Young Filmmakers (20-25 years). Five filmmakers will get a chance to develop their projects with Hombale Films.

Mettl’s new study, India’s Graduate Skill Index 2025, analyses Indian graduate employability amidst the rise of AI and automation. Key findings: overall employability declined to 42.6% from 44.3% in 2023; Indian graduates demonstrated a strong aptitude for AI and ML roles; 50% of graduates possess soft skills needed for AI/GenAI collaboration, but creativity needs improvement; and more.

The International Education group at Cambridge University Press and Assessment announced an expansion of its series of Cambridge Checkpoint tests. A third test series will be introduced in March to meet rising demand. It will also introduce a one-week timetable for each series and move the May series to a later date to better suit schools’ needs.

Prof. Anurag Sharma, Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering Department, and research scholar Souvick Kumar Shaw, from NIT Rourkela, have used machine learning to evaluate groundwater quality for irrigation in Sundargarh district, Odisha. A study by Prof. Vikas Srivastava, ONGC Chair Professor; Prof. Sowmya Subramaniam, Associate Professor, Finance and Accounting; and research scholar Vidya Mahadevan from IIM Lucknow has shown that the expansion of non-carbon intensive lending can improve the core of loan portfolios of Indian banks.
