<p><b>Sterlite EdIndia Foundation </b>and the <b>Chhattisgarh State Education and Research Council</b> conducted a State Level Teaching Plan Competition 2025 to revolutionise teacher training in India. Thirty-six student-teachers from 18 institutions across the state participated.</p>
<p><b>The Department of Optometry and the Marketing</b> team, in collaboration with the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, the Department of Hotel Management, and the Nursing Department of ITM VUG conducted a free health check-up camp, at Sayajibaug, Vadodara. </p>
<p>Researchers from <b>Newcastle University</b> uncovered 69 previously unknown genetic factors associated with rare diseases, including uncommon forms of epilepsy and schizophrenia. The study was published in the journal <i>Nature</i>.</p>
<p><b>JBCN International School, Borivali, </b>launched the Svasthi Conclave for over 50 principals from Mumbai. Speakers included author Devdutt Pattanaik, psychiatrist Dr. Harish Shetty, Professor of Organisational Behaviour Keith D’Souza, former director of Mayo College Lt. Gen. <p><b>KLH Deemed-to-be University, </b>Hyderabad, hosted a Capacity Building Workshop on Global Navigation Satellite System: Reflectometry by the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) to enhance skill sets in an advanced technique that leverages reflected satellite signals to gather critical environmental data.</p>
<p><b>ITM Vocational University, </b>Gujarat, organised an industrial visit to ISRO and TOPS Technologies, Ahmedabad, for 80 students of BCA and B.Tech programmes, and faculty members.</p>
<p><b>Crio </b>has integrated Generative AI into its existing Full Stack Software Engineering programmes, which will henceforth be known as the Fellowship Program in Software Development with Gen-AI. Participants will gain practical exposure to leading frameworks such as OpenAI, Cursor, Bolt, CrewAI, and LangChain, among others.</p>
<p>Researchers from Prof. Preetam Sarkar, Associate Professor, Department of Food Process Engineering, and his team from <b>NIT Rourkela</b> have developed an intelligent food packaging film using natural and biodegradable materials. A paper on the study was published in in Food Packaging and Shelf Life.</p>
<p><b>The Somaiya School of Civilisation Studies at Somaiya Vidyavihar University </b>launched its peer-reviewed journal Transarea, and announced projects by four research centres: Centre for Kachchh and Desert Studies, Centre for Himalayan and Mountain Studies, Centre for Asian and Area Studies, and Centre for Indian Ocean and Transoceanic Studies. It also introduced new degree programmes: B.A. and M.A. in Liberal Arts. It also announced that the fourth edition of Immerse, its art exhibition, will showcase the work of selected artists through curated exhibitions, open studios, and public conversations. It will be open to the public till May 5.</p>
<p><b>IIM Bangalore’s Data Centre and Analytics Lab</b> hosted the seventh annual Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference. Women leaders from Accenture, Biocon Biologics, Deloitte, EXL, and more shared insights on their work experience.</p>

<p>A study by <b>MSM Unify</b> reveals that policy changes in Anglophone destinations are altering international student’s mobility patterns. While countries like Canada and Australia are seeing a dip in applications, Germany, France, and Finland are emerging as attractive alternatives by leveraging progressive policies and affordability.</p>
