MCC conducts Swachh Ward competition among all 35 wards –

November 12&colon;- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has carried out Swachh Ward survey among all the 35 wards which covered major swacchta indicators i&period;e&period; Segregation of Waste at source level&comma; citizen engagement&comma; adopting Home Composting and 3 R principles etc&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>During the survey&comma; different parameters were given by the jury and total marks were 100 for different categories involving all stakeholders including Resident Welfare Associations&comma; Market Welfare Associations&comma; colleges&comma; schools&comma; Hospitals&comma; Hotels&comma; Gardens and Government offices and wards etc&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Entries for the competition were taken through a Google form circulated among RWA&comma; MWA&comma; School&comma; Colleges&comma; Hospital &sol;health facility&comma; Parks &amp&semi; Garden and Government office for self-assessment&period; To physically verify the entries&comma; an on-field<br &sol;>inspection team was constituted that included NGOs&comma; NSS volunteers &amp&semi; Sanitary Inspectors&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>A jury headed by the Mayor&comma; Ms Sarbjit Kaur&comma; and Ms Gurbax Rawat and Ms Prem Lata Councillors&comma; adjudicated the final results&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The results alongwith marks secured by the winner categories and parameters are as follows&colon;-<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&ast;RWA&ast;<br &sol;>1&period;
