The calamitous weather, marked by torrential rainfall, has resulted in the flooding of numerous cities, leaving local authorities scrambling to respond to the crisis.</p>
<p>Rio Grande do Sul Governor Eduardo Leite described the storm as one of the deadliest events the state has ever witnessed. As the rain poured relentlessly, it transformed into an extra-tropical cyclone. Approximately 60 cities in the region have been adversely affected by this natural disaster.</p>
<p>In a heart-wrenching tragedy, 15 lives were tragically lost when a house in the city of Mukum, with a population of around 50,000, succumbed to the deluge. Governor Leite confirmed this grim toll, emphasizing the severity of the situation.</p>
