&NewLine;<p>BNS Cl&period; 48 expands the meaning of abetment to include abetment by persons outside of India without and beyond India of offences committed in India&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p><br>Order for custody and disposal of property pending trial in certain cases<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<ol start&equals;"2" class&equals;"wp-block-list">&NewLine;<li>The courts in India are authorised to take custody of any property that is produced before it&comma; during the investigation&comma; inquiry&comma; or trial&period; CI&period;497&comma; BNSS&comma; has introduced a few provisions to regulate the conditions of custody and subsequent disposal of the seized property&period; First&comma; the court must prepare a statement containing description of the property produced before it within fourteen days of its production&period; Second&comma; photographs and&comma; if needed&comma; videography of the property must also be taken&period; These photos and videos may be used as evidence in the course of the investigation&comma; inquiry&comma; or trial&period; Third&comma; within thirty days of the preparation of such a statement&comma; the court must order the disposal or destruction of property&period; These provisions will greatly reduce the burden of keeping seized articles in PSs&comma; which in many cases resulted in occupying large tracts of land&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ol>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<hr class&equals;"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"&sol;>&NewLine;
