PISA&comma; ਇੱਕ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮੁਲਾਂਕਣ ਜੋ 81 ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 15 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ&comma; ਨੇ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਤਸੁਕਤਾ ਦਾ ਗਣਿਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਪਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਹੋਰ ਕਾਰਕ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਬੰਧ ਹੈ। 81 ਅੰਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਚ ਉਤਸੁਕਤਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਘੱਟ ਉਤਸੁਕਤਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਹ ਕੋਈ ਛੋਟਾ ਫਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਉਸੇ ਖੋਜ ਨੇ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਵੇਂ-ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬੱਚੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ&comma; ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਤਸੁਕਤਾ ਘੱਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ&comma; ਇਸ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਘੱਟ ਉਤਸੁਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ&comma; ਪਰ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਖਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਤਸੁਕਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਫਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੈ&quest; ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚੋ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਆਮ ਉੱਚ-ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕਲਾਸਰੂਮ ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਇਨਾਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ&colon; ਚੈਪਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਵਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੈੱਟ &&num;8216&semi;ਤੇ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਨਾ&comma; ਗਤੀ&comma; ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾ&comma; ਪਾਠ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਰਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਹੀ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇਣਾ&comma; ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਘੰਟਾ ਪੁੱਛੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਵਾਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੱਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਐਲੀਮੈਂਟਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੱਟ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਘੱਟ ਸਵਾਲ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛਣਾ ਸਕੂਲ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਫੀਡਬੈਕ ਰੈਂਕਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਸਕੋਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ&comma; ਯੋਗਤਾ-ਅਧਾਰਿਤ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਟ ਲਰਨਿੰਗ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਧਰ &&num;8216&semi;ਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਫਟ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਨੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਲੀ ਅਮਲ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਵੱਖਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਹਨ। CBSE ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਸੁਮੇਲ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੁਕਾਵਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ&colon; ਪਾਠਕ੍ਰਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ&comma; ਬੋਰਡ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਪੇ ਜੋ ਅੰਕ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>ਪਰ ਉਤਸੁਕਤਾ ਲਈ ਪਾਠਕ੍ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੇ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੋਟੀਆਂ&comma; ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੋਚਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਦੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤਮਈ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਤਸੁਕ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਸਕੋਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਚਾਰੂ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਫੀਡ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਲੱਭ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਅੱਜ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਹੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ&colon;
